Mechanism of Action

DSIP is a nonapeptide (9 amino acids) that modulates GABAergic and serotonergic activity in the brainstem and hypothalamus. It promotes slow-wave sleep (delta sleep), reduces cortisol levels, and modulates growth hormone release during sleep. It also influences LH production and the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis.

Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide. Melhora latência e qualidade do sono em insones crônicos. Não causa dependência.

Benefits

Improved deep sleep

Under research

Small clinical studies demonstrate increased slow-wave sleep and subjective improvement in sleep quality in patients with insomnia.

Stress reduction

Under research

Studies show reduced cortisol levels and normalization of the stress response in animal models and small human studies.

Risks and Side Effects

Limited clinical studies

Moderate(N/A)

Clinical studies are outdated (1980s-1990s), small, and with questionable methodology by current standards.

Very short half-life

Low(N/A)

Rapidly degraded in the blood (half-life ~7-8 minutes), questioning the efficacy of peripheral administration.

Internet vs. Science

What they claim

DSIP is the natural sleep peptide — take it and sleep like a baby, without sleeping pill effects.

Actual evidence

Modulates deep sleep in some studies, but the evidence is weak and outdated. Extremely short half-life raises questions about whether it reaches the brain in effective quantities. Not a substitute for sleep hygiene or medical treatment of insomnia.
