Mechanism of Action

GHK-Cu (glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine copper) is found naturally in human blood, but its levels decline with age. The copper-peptide complex activates genes involved in the synthesis of collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycans. It also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects and stimulates extracellular matrix remodeling.

Wrinkle and fine line reduction

Under research

Small clinical studies demonstrated improved skin texture and wrinkle reduction after topical use of GHK-Cu creams.

Wound healing

Under research

Evidence of accelerated healing in animal studies and small clinical studies.

Risks and Side Effects

Skin irritation

Low(Uncommon)

May cause mild irritation on sensitive skin when used topically.

Internet vs. Science

What people say online compared to the actual scientific evidence.

Reverses aging

Partially true

What they claim

Promoted as a 'miraculous anti-aging' that reverses years of skin aging.

Actual evidence

Proven improvement in skin quality and collagen, but does not 'reverse' aging. Effects are modest and gradual. Topical use has more evidence than injectable.
