Mechanism of Action

KPV consists of the three C-terminal amino acids of alpha-MSH (Lysine-Proline-Valine). It inhibits NF-kappaB activation, the main inflammatory signaling pathway, and reduces the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-alpha, IL-6, IL-1beta). Unlike immunosuppressants, it modulates inflammation without suppressing the adaptive immune response.

Tripeptídeo derivado do alfa-MSH (Lys-Pro-Val). Reduz inflamação via NF-κB. Estudos em modelos de colite em animais.

Benefits

Potent anti-inflammatory

Under research

In vitro and animal studies demonstrate significant NF-kappaB inhibition and reduction of inflammatory cytokines without immunosuppression.

Intestinal protection

Under research

Animal models of colitis show reduced intestinal inflammation and mucosal protection. Potential for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.

Wound healing

Under research

Accelerates healing in animal models through local inflammation reduction and macrophage modulation.

Risks and Side Effects

No human studies

High(Unknown)

Zero published human clinical trials. All evidence is preclinical (in vitro and animal).

Internet vs. Science

Cures intestinal diseases

What they claim

Oral KPV cures leaky gut, IBS, Crohn's, and colitis — the perfect anti-inflammatory.

Actual evidence

Real anti-inflammatory effects demonstrated in animal models of colitis, but ZERO human studies. Oral bioavailability of peptides is generally very low. There is no evidence that it 'cures' any condition.

Animal Study

KPV inibe ativação de NF-κB tanto in vitro quanto in vivo, com efeito anti-inflamatório comparável ao alfa-MSH completo apesar de ser apenas um fragmento de 3 aminoácidos.
